My name is Donato Chirulli, I was born in Rome (Italy) in 1958.

My passion is photography, an art which I practice since the '80s.

Over the last 3 years, my desire to express my feelings through photograpy became so intense that I felt I had to devote myself almost entirely to this art.

I fully agree with the words of H.Cartier Bresson:

"For me photography is to place head, heart and eye along the same line of sight. - It is a way of life".

So, my interests lie in reportage, people and nature, and architectural potography. I love the beauty and the poetry of things and the human condition. I think that a "positive" outlook could help the minds and the hearts of people.

The road I have followed until now has lead me to produce a photobook: "Rome - the line and the color" in 2004.

This book is sold on the Internet and in the bookstores of Roman museums.

In May and June 2005 I held an exibition of my photographs entitled: "Rome - A Different View".

My photos have been published in many photographic journals over the past three years and, since May 2005, I have begun a collaboration with the Italian PhotoJournal "Fotografia Reflex". and with Italian Travel Magazine "In Viaggio" (Oct.2005).

In 2005 I also began a series of Reportages in major European cities for a photobook project: "Along the streets of Europe".
